We are in an age group where many friends and relatives are sick or have died. When Celia Ann Smith found she was dying she wrote:
Have you come to the Red Sea place in your life
Where in spite of all you can do
There is no way out, no way back
There is no other way but through?
Then wait on the Lord with a trust serene.
Till the night of your fear is gone;
He will send the winds,
He will heap the floods,
When He says to your soul “Go On!”
Celia Ann Smith
I value this so much!
We have a new trail at the Park in Gulf Shores with benches people have donated. Many have names but one has Proverbs Chapter 3, verses 5 and 6, so I went home to open my Bible and find what it was:
Trust the Lord with all thine heart,
Lean not on thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path.
So many questions we have to face but what strongly resonates with me is the theme of trust. Sometimes I am weak and failing in this area but when I center down and search and pray trust restores my faith and comforts me.
